Boyfriend jeans

As a petite girl, I was always hesitant to try boyfriend jeans because of the looser fit. But I finally purchased a pair and have fallen in love! I put together a few ways to rock boyfriend jeans with a simple white tee and how to style it to look fabulous!
Look 1: simple white tee

Look 2: blazer

Look 3: denim x denim

Look 4: paired with a flannel

There are so many other ways to style boyfriend jeans too but these are all great for heading out after work or on the weekend! Which look is your favorite?

Fitbit Fashion

Hi all!

I finally jumped on the Fitbit bandwagon (I know, I’m a little late on this one), but I’ve already become obsessed!

I’ve only had mine for 4 days so far but one thing was really bugging me… the band (lol). The Fitbit comes with a standard silicone band which is great for running and working out – but me being the fashion conscious person I am, this was not working with my everyday outfits. The Fitbit Alta I got came with the purple band, which is cute but literally matches with nothing I wear.

A photo of the orignal –

Bulky and not practical to wear with everyday looks.

After a little online hunting, I found that the Fitbit site has replacement bands that can get REALLY pricey – like over $50 for just the band. I kept looking until I found the perfect replacement band to go with my everyday outfits at the right price from… Amazon!

That being said, I’m sharing my Amazon find and a few other affordable options below!

A photo with the replacement band. Classy and wearable.

Silver Fitbit Alta band – Amazon (only 13.99!)

I’ve linked a few other options you might like – all under $15! I know I’ll eventually buy the gold one too so I can match it with more.

Overall I’m loving my Fitbit Alta and I’m so glad I was able to find a band to fit my lifestyle! Which replacement band would you choose?

OOTD: Pinstripes

Hi all,

The sun has finally popped out this weekend which meant a little outdoor fun by the water!

Pinstripes are IN this season, so get ready to see them everywhere you turn if you haven’t already. I’ve already picked up a few tops, pants and shorts with the pinstripe pattern.

What I’m wearing:

White tee – similar here

Pants – NY&CO

Shoes – TJMaxx (new & in stores now)

Bag – Charming Charlie

I’m so happy with these pants! As a petite woman, I have trouble finding pants that fit me right, but these are great if you’re petite! (Size is regular 0).

I’m sure I’ll be putting together a lot more looks with these pants all spring!

Gingham Print Pants

During the week I basically LIVE in ankle pants. They make great work attire plus they’re super comfy.

I’ve been working on incorporating lighter bottoms into my wardrobe for spring (since most of my pants are black, black & yes, more black) and I just picked up these tan gingham print pants last weekend. See how to style them below!
Outfit #1

Style with a colorful top.

Outfit #2

Style with a simple nude top, adding pops of color with accessories.

I would also pair with some bright shoes for an added pop of color or a cardigan (not pictured above).

My picks:

Pointed Toe Flats

You can really have so much fun with these pants – I can’t wait to put together a few more outfits with them throughout the season!

Thanks for stopping by!

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes with Bar Soap!

This weekend was finally time for me to get to that chore we all put off for as long as we can – cleaning our makeup brushes.

There are tons of beauty products out there designed specifically for cleaning brushes, but let’s be real – some of them can be so pricey for such a small product size! I recently bought the BlenderCleanser solid soap bar for brushes and blenders ($16.00) and even though it worked great, it was fully used up after a few washes of my beauty blender.

Now, I found a super affordable alternative that will last SO much longer – Dove bar soap! For just $2.99 for a 2 pack, this large bar of soap will go a LONG way in cleaning my brushes over time. I kept one for my skin and one for my brushes!

Check out how I wash my brushes below!

Step 1: get all of your dirty brushes

Step 2: put your bar of Dove soap on a paper towel to soak up excess water, and on a plate for easy cleanup. I use the Dove sensitive skin bar – drugstore find!

Step 3: run water over your brushes

Step 4: in circular motions, swirl wet brush around your bar of soap to soak off makeup

Step 5: take a plastic cup and add some water, swirl brush in the cup – you can also do this on your hand to help scrub off the build up.

Step 6: rise again under the sink, squeeze excess water out, reshape and lay flat on a dry washcloth.

BEFORE: dirty and uneven shape

Nothing feels better than using a clean makeup brush on your face! What do you use to clean your brushes?

Going Green for Spring

Hi all!

Spring is finally here, which means I’ll be pulling out more colors from my wardrobe! While pastels are always a favorite for Spring, I love mixing it up with bold colors like this gorgeous emerald green. After all, it was nominated the Color of the Year by Pantone.

If you work in a casual office environment, then this is the perfect outfit!

My top is old from Express, but here are a few green picks out in stores now that I can’t wait to get my hands on! Scroll down for details.

Dress: New York & Company – on SALE now for just $39.00!
Romper: Forever21 – $16.99
Handbag: New York & Company (in love!) – $59.95

Fall Pumpkin Patch Outfit

One of the reasons Fall is my favorite season is because of all the fun activities that come along with it. Last weekend I went to a nearby farm to pick out some pumpkins, indulge on some apple cider donuts, and enjoy the cool breeze.

I knew almost everyone at the pumpkin patch would be decked out in a flannel shirt, and I was right (ex: behind me, lol) so I wanted to wear something a little different, but still appropriate for some walking around in the field.

This was the first time this year that I pulled out my tan leather jacket! Leather jackets have always been a favorite of mine, I have them in 5 colors! I love pairing camel & maroon tones together. I didn’t have a chance to swap my handbag since I was in a rush, but next time I would pair this outfit with a dark handbag to offset all the light camel tones.

Looking at the apples with a root beer in hand.

How delicious do all of these caramel apples look?

How could I forget about the pumpkin pie!? My ultimate favorite.

This photo features a closer look at the new scarf I purchased. This one was a flea market find for just $5! If you live in the NJ/PA area, you have to check out Rice’s Flea Market in New Hope, PA. I have to return soon to pick up a few more of these scarves.

Cozy Capes & Blankets

Capes, ponchos and now wearable blankets are popping up everywhere this Fall. I picked up a blanket-style poncho with a clasp at Marshalls. Here’s how I wore it.

First look: Casual with jeans and a low-heel bootie. Sweater (underneath) from The Limited in camel.

Second Look: Paired with a LBD (found at Marshalls).

What do you think of the blanket trend this Fall?

The Bomber Jacket

The bomber jacket is one of the most trending pieces of outerwear this season. Not only does it make a statement with the outfit, but it’s also a great piece to wear on these chilly fall days! I found my jacket at TJ Maxx but you can find a similar one for about the same price at Glam Envy.

I paired my Olive Green Bomber with a white crop top & some high-waisted pants – an edgy look that’s perfect for day or night.
